I am equally disinterested in some rando’s opinion of various crap offerings in the drink section of 7-11 as I am the typical fluff that constitutes tasting notes of wines and liquors. I trust my own palate to tell me what I enjoy.
The appeal is in the juxtaposition of high and low culture. It’s not information. It’s entertainment. Also, it is interesting to have a sommelier render an opinion about a 7-11 drink that I’ve had before than on a wine I haven’t. But, YMMV.
